ABOUT
My path to acupuncture started with two amazing acupuncture treatments. The power of those treatments moved me to want to discover more about this system of healing.
I started learning about the meridian or channel theory of acupuncture and acupressure. Coming from a bodywork background, these ideas made complete sense to me. I could feel where these pathways were on my own body and see them on others.
I continued my interest in acupuncture and holistic health as I completed undergraduate studies in biology, with an emphasis in pre-med and a certificate in holistic health. My background in western science combined with education in Chinese medicine has helped me to have a well-rounded understanding of the human body.
I received my acupuncture license and master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009. I have studied various types of bodywork, massage, and alternative health and incorporate these diverse modalities into my approach, to tailor them to the needs of each patient. I have experience treating a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, pain, women's health and fertility, anxiety, insomnia, allergies, and digestive issues.
~ We all know our bodies better than anyone else, and it is up to a good practitioner to recognize, and expand on that innate sense a patient has of their own body to promote health and well-being.
